Working with Sataya

Final product has finally done. Here it is -The Great Meeting.

This so-call short film is simple and easy to be done. It's one long take, cast by Cheang Kin Wai, Lim Boon Seong, and Jessica Liew. Obviously, they gave out a great effort and job is well executed.

Boon bought a two-light. His contribution made the picture look amazingly brighten up! I didn't know Kin Wai and Jessica have so much interest in acting. After this, we know that they have great potential acting in our next production. Jessica wants a psychotic role -challenging! LOL.

The Great Meeting is planned by our team with Boon and Wai. In fact, the idea came out by Boon and Wai first. We have so much plans came out in our previous discussion, yet, we decided to put out something simple first.

Oily Night

On the way back home, hoping to have my dinner and shower, I was riding my motored horse.

I was leading the traffic, which mean I was in front of all cars.

I was riding in ease. Suddenly, something was amiss. My horse was unstable, and I cannot turn right nor left. I couldn't control my horse.

I felt my position was getting lowered, as I turning a little to the right. There was a turning in front.

I was moving faster than I managed. I didn't know why.

I realized I totally out of my control, and I was touching the floor (the road).

I was really closed to the floor. I moved my body a little bit, automatically my body rolled over me. My head was really safe with my helmet on.

I was conscious of what was happening. I was hoping the car behind don't come to bang me. Fortunately, they did not. They slowed down. All cars slowed down. Haha... Thank you. =)

My horse went far far away. I did not care about my horse, quickly I stood up and walk away to roadside. haha... Seeing the car slowed down, I walked back to the road, then walked back to the roadside.

"Minyak ... Minyak !" shouted by people nearby. Since then, I realized that it was oil on the road -the slippery road.

I saw a guy. He fell before me. I asked him: "syok arh?" He did not answer. I said: "syok wei."

I was feeling awesome, but not for long. Pains came after that. It wasn't as awesome as before. Hahaa....

I went to the clinic. A young beautiful nurse came to clear my injury. I was =.= Why she want to wear short pent? I couldn't understand. Hahaaa ...

Don't worry. Other organs are functioning well. Good night. =)

Good is good?

It has been more than one month working for me here. My work was pretty all the same everyday, but everyday is not the same! Haha... Although I tear tickets everyday, I meet not the same customer. I duty in hall, but the movies are different every week. LOL.

Let me write down what's my thought. Not writing about what's a good movie, I write about what people say about good movie?

When someone say "This movie is good!" or "I like this movie a lot!" Can both phrase co-exist? Can someone think that it is a good movie, but one doesn't like it?

When some one say it is a good movie, does the movie really good? Inversely, when someone say one movie is bad, does the movie really that bad?

When good is not specified, it is very hard to determine what you are talking. Good in storyline (narrative)? the content (script)? acting,? ... For some people, may be about lighting, cinematography, art direction, box office records (revenue) etc.

You see, it is subjective. What perspective you are looking determines how much can you be listened.

When you say one movie (film) is bad- may be you are saying the ending is too fake (not real enough), I don't like this movie, etc. You might be true, but, perhaps this is just one small part. Let say the movie gets high box office hit, positive review from critics, and attention gained worldwide, perhaps the one which is said "bad" or "illogical" should be discussed in mamak stall.

Oh, just in case: my thoughts are still in mamak stall category. Sometime, it is out-mamak one. Join me in mamak! =P
